Ital Sounds visits Freedom Park

Ace Reggae On-Air Personality – Covenant Child held guests and fun seekers spellbound to undiluted and authentic reggae tunes at Freedom Park Sunday, 27 December 2015 on her on-going monthly musical memorial.

Conscious Vibes Africa is a live reggae musical feast celebrating late iconic Africans and proudly supported by Alliance Française, Lagos – Nigeria. It is championed  by Captain Blazee (@captain_blazee) and conscious band every last Sunday of every month at the old colonial prison yard better known as Freedom Park situated at broad street, Nigeria’s commercial hub.

Late Nelson 'Madiba' Mandela
This December edition of Conscious Vibes Africa, late Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela widely known as Madiba, an apostle of forgiveness despite being unjustly imprisoned for 27years, anti-apartheid, philanthropist, politician and the first black fully democratically elected president of South Africa from 1994 – 1999 was celebrated. 





Before and after the Mandela’s mini documentary, Ital Sounds System kept to its promise of strictly undiluted reggae tunes from yester years to the current tunes which the guests / fun seekers present couldn’t refuse.

Other reggae musical performances witnessed where from Captain Blazee and Conscious Band, Ediro, Marimba, Ruff Man, Ivy Owens (@music_ivyowens), a Nigerian Austria based empress signed to Ur Spot-Lit Entertainment whose new single – feel u scatter is stylishly rocking the airwaves and Oge Kimono whose electrifying sexual appealing outfit cum performance wow the guests.

The peak of the music memorial was the unbiased respect Covenant Child gave Emmanuel – a 12-year-old teenager who couldn’t withhold his emotions as he confidently walks to the stage to request for – Buffalo Solider, one of Bob’s classic hits and Covenant Child played the tune.


Covenant Child and his team emboldens reggae dancehall in Nigeria by way of providing entertainment for events through Ital Sounds Sound System, content on both Television and Radio programme also presented by him. Relax and Enjoy undiluted big reggae dancehall tunes on Silverbird Television – Sunday 11:30pm, PRTV on GoTV Channel 73 – Friday 5:30pm with a repeat broadcast on Sunday 12:30pm.
