The Rising Star™ - Jah Wondah

It was indeed an atmosphere of "wondah" as Balyesa state born dancehall reggae artiste Jah Wondah mesmerised fans and followers of Ital Sounds (known as Italist) who are lovers of reggae dancehall during the October edition of Ital Sounds monthly gig tagged Freedom Park Reggae Dancehall Nite at Freedom Park, Lagos-Nigeria. He made quite an impact with his cover version of ‘Left for Good’ originally done by Waje featuring Patoranking.

Emmanuel Ebifegha, who was renamed with the stage name - Jah Wondah from Admiral Wondah (by Luciano Jamaica born reggae artiste when he - Luciano visited Nigeria as an international guest artiste during River State Carnival in 2012) is a Business Management graduate from River State University of Education and on-transit guest to Afrofusion Reggae Dancehall Nite where he lighten up New Afrika Shrine with his freestyle song - Money.

With his urban outlook typical of modern reggae dancehall artistes, laced with his unique blend of Patois infused with the Niger Delta lingo which he infuses in his vocal delivery. Irrespective of your mood or preferred sound system, you can't help but get hooked to his harmonious light weight voice and deep conscious lyrics one of the essential qualities lacking in today's "so called" artiste.

Jah Wondah with his award.
A true son of the soil proud of his native home land to this end Jah Wondah dedicated all the tracks in his 10tracks album titled ONE OF A KIND to the people of Balyesa and the Niger Delta as a whole. A true reflection of his pride as a Niger Delta can be felt in his MY PEOPLE track. Other notable songs on this album includes: Ayiba meaning God, One of a kind & Baseline the song that earned him the Balyesa Entertainment Award and the only track for now with a video.
